She advises and represents well-known German and international companies and public authorities on legal and strategic matters relating to software use—particularly in connection with technology-use risk assessments (software licensing, AI applications, data use, information security) and the legal implications of digital transformation strategies (e.g., cloud transformation and AI implementation). From September 2021 to March 2022, she successfully completed the “Technology Leadership Program” at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Jentzsch has particular experience with SAP software contracts and, among other roles, works with the German-speaking SAP User Group (DSAG) as a speaker in seminars on SAP contract law.
Dr. Jentzsch studied law at the universities of Bonn, Milan, and Cologne. Even during her studies, she worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Air and Space Law at the University of Cologne. After her first state examination, she earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Air and Space Law at Leiden University (Netherlands). As part of her LL.M., she completed placements at the International Court of Arbitration in The Hague and at the European Space Agency in Paris. Dr. Jentzsch (née Hettling) wrote her doctoral thesis in English under Prof. Dr. Stephan Hobe at the University of Cologne on legal issues relating to the use of data from satellite-based Earth observation (“Satellite Imagery for Verification and Enforcement of Public International Law”).
During her legal traineeship, Dr. Jentzsch completed, among other placements, assignments in the Economic and Press Sections of the German Embassy in Washington, D.C., and at an international commercial law firm in Cologne in the areas of Information Technology/Intellectual Property. She initially worked as an attorney at an international business law firm in Frankfurt am Main within the Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice group.
She then worked for two and a half years at a renowned Hamburg media law firm before founding her own IT law firm in 2009. Until July 2025, Dr. Jentzsch served as Managing Director of MARAIT Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH in Hamburg.
